All LC payments upto $50,000 to be released by Nov: Ishaq Dar – Mettis Global Link

Oct 10, 2022: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar states all Letters of Credit score payments upto fifty thousand dollars will be launched by the following month.

Conversing to media in Islamabad on Sunday, he said complete pending cases of Letter of Credit payments are 7,952 and 4,400 of them will be resolved soon after this selection. He explained the govt is committed to address problems of the business local community.

The Finance Minister also clarified that Pakistan is not likely to the Paris Club for rescheduling of its financial loans. He claimed Pakistan will ensure payments of its nationwide sovereign debt liabilities with the multilateral establishments perfectly in time. He said a approach has been evolved in this regard.

Ishaq Dar also turned down speculations about any extension in the maturity of an international bond of the region. He claimed that bond is remaining matured in December this yr and we will not request its extension and all the payments in this regard will be built well timed.

Finance Minister also clarified that we are not going to renegotiate the IMF Programme. He stated Pakistan is a sovereign place and all worldwide commitments will be fulfilled.
