President Donald Trump is not only autocratic person but also a racist. To prove it, the FBI has released a 389-page document, which shows that Trump was a big-time racist.
Donald Trump is a well-known real-estate mogul and his organization often built residential apartment complexes, where the organization didn’t allow African-American to enter the complex premises in 1975. The file that FBI investigated revealed that blacks are denied rental houses. Until now, the Trump organization have built 9,050 apartment units which are covered under the settlement of the agreement with the federal government.
The files which federal government released shows interviews with Trump tenants, management, and employees, and the “most of those interviewed said they were not aware of any discrimination. However, some of the records recount the stories of black rental applicants who said they were told no apartments were available, while whites sent to check on the same apartments were offered leases.”
The apartment units covered under the settlement agreement with the federal government, and only houses 399 minority residents across 35 covered properties or only 4.4% of Fred and Donald Trump’s New York City rental real estate empire.
For several years, Trump claimed that he never discriminated against African-Americans, and it is utter a lie. The Justice Department has just leaked the documents from 1977 which was published before last year’s election.
The public record document shows the reality of Fred and Donald Trump’s buildings scheme. The documents show that their principles of organizational scheme ignore the Fair Housing Act of 1968. The duo failed miserably and was brought to the court for two years starting in 1973.
A report by POLITICO points out the recorded statement by Trump building Supervisor, which is included in the document. The supervisor said that he was forcefully made him assist in the process of racially purifying their apartments. This action violates the Fair Housing Act:
“[He] told me that if a black person came to 2650 Ocean Parkway and inquired about an apartment for rent, and he, that is [redacted] was not there at the time, that I should tell him that the rent was twice as much as it really was, in order that he could not afford the apartment,” the supervisor said.
Donald Trump denied any racial discrimination but said his managers tried to weed out certain kinds of tenants. “What we didn’t do was rent to welfare cases, white or black,” Trump wrote in a 1987 book.
